Mayhem Malloy to comment with the recap. Until then, 2 pics of the day. Kudos to the newbie (Mike) for coming out after not running in years. Props also to Winklers for a global variety of beers.

Nice group photo - but not nearly as enticing as the wide variety in the cooler. see you on Saturday!
ReplyDeleteAnother great turnout for the wolves this weekend - nine of us took to the trails at Rowe Woods for a ~ 60 minute run, including two round-trips of the infamous yellow trail, which has a nasty start up a steep slope. Weather was cool and drizzly at times - perfect for a trail run in the mud!
ReplyDeleteSpecial props this week to Mike, who hung tough despite not having run for years, to Giles, first time trail runner but pushed Cub #1 most of the day (even when the cub wasn't carrying the 15 lb backpack), and Little Matt, who soldiered through despite a migraine.
This weeks highlights and learnings:
- beer quality still increasing, though unfortunately run-ins with the authorities are as well
- Somebody should open Little Matt's beer for him, after you're through cutting the crusts off of his sandwich
- Don't run behind Cub #1*
- When Little Matt brings up "recreational intimacy", just say no. Otherwise he may propose it as a future pack event.
- Wolves never leave the (back)pack behind - Iron Wolf and Big Matt manned up to carry it on the yellow trail
* - since it may not be feasible to run in front of him, alternatively run far far behind
Tentative plan for next pack event is Thursday pm, somewhere in Mason. Lil' Matt will coordinate the details.
What? Nothing of interest to report during the outset? Perhaps you drew a plank. oh, i mean a blank?
ReplyDeleteMust have slipped his mind.
